I received a note from Sis Heather Cook asking me to share this prayer request today. Kayla (Clay) Sowards is 36 wks pregnant and has been in the hospital for four days now. They are treating her for high blood pressure and high heart rate. They will be doing a few tests to determine what the problem is. Her husband is in California training with his Marine troop.

Please remember to pray for this family.

Update

I was asked to pass along some news and updates on Stacy this morning.

Stacy had another rough night last night. He is having some complications that are making things harder on him, too.

He is having trouble with his heart rhythm, requiring extra medication to keep it under control. The doctors have also reduced his IV flow to reduce the chances of him contracting pneumonia. The breathing exercises he has to do are giving him some trouble so pneumonia is a real concern. New nebulizer treatments, twice a day, are starting to help reduce this concern and help him to being up congestion easier.

He has been up today walking to get some exercise though it is still taking a toll on him to so that; he was quite pale and spent after his walk this morning. He is now getting some time upright in the hospital chair, which is another good thing. And he has had a few visitors, which always lift ones spirit.

All in all, things are going well, even with these new complications; these problems are all normal and expected with the procedure Stacy has undergone. But please continue to keep him in your prayers, that God will ease his pain and give him a shorts oats to recovery.

Please remember Stacy Nida in your prayers tonight and tomorrow; he is scheduled for surgery tomorrow.
His arrival time is at 5am, but the surgery will be at approximately 7am. Without complications, it will take 6-8 hours. Also keep his family and his doctors in your prayers, that God will guide and comfort them all and Stacy will have a speedy recovery.

Praise Updates

Filed under: Praise, Prayer Request — Greg @ 2:01 pm

I just got the good news about Stacy Nida from his sister:

“Great news!! Scan results were good. The cancer is contained to the esophagus only!!! He’ll have the stent put in sometime tomorrow! Praise The Lord!”

And some good news on my stepfather, Gary Laslo, came also about his heart condition: the doctors have identified the problem, are managing it, and he will likely not have to have any surgeries or procedures! Glory to God!

It is wonderful to get to share the praise updates. And it’s even better to know our God is listening and is still answering our prayers. God is so good!

I received the following prayer request for Megan Asbury from Sis Sheri Lilly this afternoon.

Please remember Megan Asbury in your prayers. She is 7 months pregnant in hospital with too much swelling and high blood pressure. They will likely have to induce her labor. She is married to Bandon Asbury (he grew up in the church camp).
